I am a passionate Python/Django enthusiast dedicated to digitizing and automating tedious day-to-day tasks. With extensive experience as a Customer Service Representative and Back-Office personnel at multinational companies, I’ve gained a broad perspective on corporate operations like standardization and branching workflows. Now, I’m actively seeking to transition into a full-time tech role where I can apply my problem-solving skills and technical curiosity to build impactful solutions while continuously learning about leveraging modern technologies.

Currently, I work as an Accounting Clerk, where I continue to enhance my skills in technology and programming by tinkering with scripts and macros to improve the "quality of life" in my tasks. I have a keen interest in understanding technology in general and love exploring new tools and innovations that may have practical use cases in the future. Additionally, I enjoy tinkering with operating systems and networking, which allows me to deepen my technical knowledge.

Hobbyist Developer

Django

Engaged in web development using Django, a Python-based framework designed for rapid development of scalable web applications. I focus on backend development, leveraging Python to create robust features.

prototype.abutchikikz.online is what I am currently working on. It is intended to be used as a Leave Management System (LMS) for our Local Government Unit (LGU) as, currently, leave requests filings and inquiries as to how much leave credits were accumulated and used by employees are all manually being tracked. The LMS aims to automate these processes, providing employees with a user-friendly platform to file leave requests, check their leave balances, and track the status of their applications. It also includes features for HR personnel to manage leave approvals, generate reports, and maintain accurate records of leave transactions. This project is designed to improve efficiency, reduce paperwork, and minimize errors in leave management.

The project is a double-facing webapp that intends to work as a common Content Management System (CMS) for announcements to the public, and an internal Employee Management System (EMS). Here is the view of the Guest Landing Page.

Here is the view of the All Announcements List. Users can also search for certain keyword/s and all announcements that contain the searched word/s will be listed here.

Downloadable Forms

Here is the view of the target Downloadable Forms. Users can download forms that are needed for certain transactions with the LGU such as, but not limited to: Business Application/Renewal Checklist, Financial Request Forms/Checklist, Important Contact Information, etc.

Employee Home Page

An example view for Employees. The app initially was designed for a Leave Management System (LMS)where employees can file their leave requests and check their leave credits. It is now just a part of the webapp's features. The LMS is fully-functional with automated leave credits accumulation set thru cronjobs.

Apart from being a hobbyist developer, I enjoy exploring a variety of topics, including technology, space exploration, psychology, and ancient history. I also have a passion for watching anime series and movies, which often inspire my creativity. In my free time, I cherish spending quality moments with my closest friends, engaging in meaningful conversations that broaden my perspective.

While I have a reserved personality and often prefer to listen than talk, I am also willing to step up and lead when necessary. Kindness, integrity, and support for others are my core values, deeply inspired by the principles instilled in me by my parents (and reflected in many anime narratives). I believe that fostering a positive environment is essential for personal and collective growth.
